a whole bunch of people who actually appear to speak the Czech language are reblogging that Czech gun laws post, so lemme go ahead and publicly state this:
I made that post after talking to a friend of mine who lives in the Czech Republic. Her description of it to me was that it had more bureaucratic bullshit to sift through, but for the most part you can get whatever you want if you have enough patience and can pay for it plus admin fees and shit.
Like, I’m aware that a Czech firearms license exists, and that at the lower tiers of it imported military rifles can’t be bought. But then, you can buy full autos regardless of date of manufacture with the higher tiered licenses, so I think that kinda balances it out.
I don’t remember the exact wording of the post, but saying that the Czech Republic has more lax gun laws than the United States At a Federal Level can be thought of as a falsehood sort of I guess, depending on how much weight you give to certain issues with both law bases. But then, saying that the Czech country has more lax gun laws than the United States At an Average State Level is more accurate, I think, considering the incidence of NO FUN ALLOWED in this country.
w/e Czechs are cool I want to go there some day and get a kawaii czech waifu
